Bees Game 6/7/12

-Ryan and I at the Bees game-
We had a good time together and love going to these games for free with moms hookups at work! Mom invited us to go with her cuz dad had to work. We had a great old time watching all the interesting people around us. We couldn't stop laughing at the weird things people were doing. Definitely the best place to people watch!

I've never seen so many young kids chewing, it made me want to barf. SICK SICK SICK!!!!

Before the game we went to Red Lobster for dinner and enjoyed our yummy food. Of course we all ate too much. For $14.99 each we all got a soup, salad, entree and dessert! AMAZING DEAL

After the game they had a firework show and it was the best show we have seen this year for sure!

Here we are.

This was our view of the game! Perfect spot.

Salon Open House 6/23/12

Our salon open house was a success! We had a lot of neighbors, friends and clients come out to see the new place.

I was very happy with our turn out and am super excited for this new opportunity to gain more clients and friends.

Thanks to all of you that came. I appreciate all of your support! Remember to use your FREE Eyebrow wax that you got before the end of the year.

Dallas and Lacie's Wedding Day

SO CUTE!

They seem very happy together and make a great couple.
I am very grateful Dallas found a great girl to marry!

Amanda and I were supposed to find a black dress and wear these yellow sashes.
I wasn't really sure how I was supposed to wear it. We didn't recieve any instructions, so this is what I came up with and come to find out it wasn't the way I was supposed to wear it. hahaha

I thought I was being so funny!

 Guess not!

I always wanted to be in a pagent.

-Anyway-

Here we are

Our DIY Project

Remember our ugly blue and brown basement?!?!?!?!?!?
Well, goodbye ugly blue carpet!
Remember the ugly salon that was here?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?
Goodbye ugly salon!!!!! :)
and bathroom

and fireplace.

Our garage was a lifesaver during this project! It was a ginormous mess.
We painted the brick
Laid new flooring

Percy, Juicy and Ryan working hard

and Amanda was a huge help when Ryan's friends couldn't be there!

There were many late nights configuring measurements.

The night Ryan and his friend "Juicy" (Cody) finished the flooring!

The cabinets are finally in, refinished and out of the garage!

These are the original cabinets and counter top that was there when we moved in. Ryan's cousin Jake and friend Miguel painted and glazed the cabinets. They also refinished the counter tops with a kit that makes them look like a fancy marble! They turned out amazing.

This is the track lighting we put in. Ryan had to patch a lot of the ceiling, re-mud and paint.
The sink with the new backing on the counter! LOVE how it looks.

Getting closer.....

Four weeks later and this is what you get!!

My new updated salon and basement

-I LOVE IT-

Ryan worked SO hard the past couple weeks to get this salon in for me.
I never knew how handy my husband was and I don't think he knew either. I know he is very proud of his work and loves showing everyone that comes around!

Ryan and I thank all of our family, friends, our Realtor and YouTube that helped us make this possible!
There are no words to explain how grateful I am to Ryan for all his support and love he shows me.

Mothers & Fathers Day

These were the gifts I and Ryan gave to our parents on Mothers and Fathers day this year!
We had a lot of fun making these together.

For our awesome moms we made them chocolate covered strawberries and blue corn tortilla chips. AMAZING!

Bought the plates on clearance for $2 @ Home Goods
Cards- Dollar Store $1 each
For our dads we did something different for each of them. I like to keep things simple and do the same gifts, BUT it usually doesn't happen.

Ryan's father we put together a bag of golfing Tee's that had a cute saying on it, "You are a Tee-riffic Dad!" haha I thought it was cute. We also gave him a car stereo that he was wanting that Ryan had in one of his cars from high school. Super simple, and cheap!

My dad loves panning for gold, and my family kinda jokes around with him about it.
We thought it would be funny to get him a bucket of dirt and have him pan for "gold."
Amanda, Dallas, Lacie, Ryan and I pitched our $ in and got a ton of the gold presidential dollar coins and dirt from our backyard. Dad had a ball digging in the dirt and finding all his gold. He ended up using the $ for his metal detector that he had been saving up for!  He absolutely loved it. Funny dad.

I hope they had a good day!
